ANANDA SER
Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 03-17-25
By selecting "agree," making a payment, and signing up electronically, verbally, or in any other form, you confirm that you are entering into a legal agreement with Ananda Ser, according to the following terms and conditions.
Â
Sacred Circle Agreements
All courses, groups, retreats, and experiences at Ananda Ser operate under the agreements of the Sacred Circle.
These agreements help us maintain the energy within each space and ensure the safety, trust, and capacity for transformation within our community.
1. Confidentiality is our number one priority.
The content discussed within the circle does not leave the circle. The content of the sacred circle should not be referenced in any conversation outside of the circle unless previously agreed upon through direct communication.
2. Direct Communication
Any personal issue should be communicated directly to the person involved, and the content should not be brought into a group until it has been resolved between the two parties involved. This includes disagreements between all facilitators and guides.
- Acceptable statements: "I had a hard time when I heard ________ say this."
- Unacceptable statements: "I can’t believe ________ said that because I know she feels the opposite."
This type of statement breaks both the confidentiality and direct communication agreements — and likely the next agreement as well.
3. 'I' or 'We' Statements
If you use "you" statements, the facilitator may interrupt and ask you to shift to "I" or "we" statements. We avoid projecting or speaking about others’ experiences, as this creates triangulation and drama.
4. Embodied Energy over "Story"
You are invited to be more trauma-informed and to speak about how challenging or joyful experiences move through you — expressed through sound, movement, and words when necessary. "Story" takes us to the mind rather than the body.
5. Notice What Draws You In and What Pushes You Away
We pay attention to what draws us toward someone in the space and what pushes us away. Moving beyond polarity and binary reality creates space for multiple truths. Just because something is true for someone else doesn’t mean it’s true for you. However, we will respect others' truths, acknowledge any judgments that arise, and openly discuss them when needed.
6. No Gossip Policy
Revealing personal information about someone else that has not been shared with the whole group is not tolerated. All communication within a sacred circle should be expressible to the entire group. If you wouldn’t say it to the whole circle, don’t say it to anyone.
7. Nonviolent Communication
When someone feels the need to express discomfort, a need, a boundary, or a question, they will do so from a place of honesty, transparency, and respect — taking responsibility for their own experience.
Breaking Agreements
Breaking agreements 1, 2, or 6 will result in a deeper conversation held within a compassionate container. If no resolution is reached, it may result in removal from the space.
If removal from a space occurs, the refund policy outlined below still applies.
Â
Community Agreement
-
Prejudice, racism, classism, or any form of discrimination is not tolerated within Ananda Ser.
-
We are committed to reintegrating both the matriarchy and patriarchy.
-
We are committed to dismantling systems of institutionalized white supremacy and white supremacy culture, including perfectionism, individualism, either-or thinking, defensiveness, fear of conflict, and power hoarding.
-

We are always learning how to do better as white and BIPOC individuals are invited to share their lived experiences of racism and any ethical failures or violations within this community.
The Sliding Scale System is our first step toward allowing marginalized and minority communities to access these resources without financial risk.
Â
Spaces and Experiences
Course
An online, fully self-guided space where the primary value comes from personal connection to the videos and your own practice.
Group Program
Guidance happens during group calls and through any online course content that complements the space. The facilitator can only address what arises during group calls or in the online community groups.
1:1 Spaces
A space where the client receives support and guidance from the facilitator. The facilitator can only meet the client at the depth they are willing to go. The facilitator holds the container and process as agreed upon.
Immersion
An in-person or online container for deep work, where we meet each other fully through embodied practice.
Training
Unlike a retreat or immersion, Ananda Ser’s training takes place in an interactive, high-level environment focused on tangible knowledge exchange and light education. The training is the body.

FAQs
Why is coaching 'more expensive'?
By investing in a coach, you are paying for someone with specific experience and a strong inner core that you can attune to. While other service providers, such as therapists, aim to be objective, impartial, and neutral — which is beautiful but difficult to achieve — a coach is someone who has a clear vision of the world and is able to express it openly.
How is coaching different from therapy?
Coaching offers guidance based on lived experience, while therapy focuses on objective neutrality.
There seems to be a growing gap between coaching and therapy. Some argue that the coaching industry needs regulation, while others would argue that the regulation of the mental health landscape is a function of white supremacy culture — particularly the worship of the written word, which prioritizes intellectual understanding over demonstrated competence. The commodification of knowledge, the privatization of mental health, and the intensive regulation and certification of service providers create barriers to entry for those without privilege.
Ananda Ser is not in favor of a highly regulated coaching industry nor a highly regulated mental health industry and advises everyone to conduct thorough research before investing in any service provider.
